The Conran Shop had already established itself as a leading independent retailer by the time I joined from university - it was an exciting and vibrant time in London.
This project was one of my favourites. It felt like we were creating an action set piece for a spy movie - the tension of the elastics introduced excitement, drama and a ‘wow’ to the shopping experience.
The spirit of the shop remains to this day: bold, progressive, innovative, surprising and unexpected.
